Descrizione: The Institute for Mediterranean Studies’ Department of Mediterranean and Global Economic and Social History is pleased to announce the online Workshop Series “Commodities in History: Theoretical Reflections and Empirical Case Studies.”

The first panel, titled “Tobacco in Southeastern Europe,” will be taking place on September 8.
Anyone interested in attending as public is welcome to do so. Registration is required. You can register for the event using this link.
The presented workshop papers will be circulated ahead of time in order to stimulate a fruitful scholarly exchange, unless the author prefers not to share his/her preliminary work in writing. Attendees interested in receiving the papers ahead of time should email Juan Carmona-Zabala (juancz -at – protonmail . com), at the latest five days before a specific panel takes place.
